Slow & Gentle Healing
CranioSacral Therapy (CST) works at the subtle energy level of the body, using gentle touch to enlist the body’s innate intelligence to open, soften and allow for realignment of soft and bony tissues of the body. When the body feels greater calm, relaxation and safety, healing is possible.
Biodynamic CranioSacral Therapy or BCST is typically slower paced than CST with less hand position changes and more focus on the client’s intention for the session. In a BCST session, the client is engaged and encouraged to share what they are feeling or sensing in their body throughout the session, allowing for deeper healing and integration.
We all carry a “blueprint” of health in our bodies and our “imprints” or symptoms, inform the blueprint. The focus of BCST is to hold the challenges with love and acceptance, to acknowledge the brilliance of our story that allowed us to survive. I often say to my infant clients (and adults as well), “You are here!” “You made it!” honoring the transitional journey from within to the world on the outside.
Although my specialty is working with Moms and babies with feeding issues, I have seen the benefit of BCST to people of all ages. We all need some TLC in today’s fast and frenetic world. The magic of BCST encourages the body to find a slower more attuned pace, allowing the client to reorient to the wholeness of who they are and who they are truly meant to be in this life.
For first time Biodynamic CranioSacral Therapy clients, I recommend starting out with the Nervous System Reset package—a three session package of BCST to allow the body to relax and unwind more quickly with each progressive session.

FAQs
What does a BCST session look like?
Clients lay face up on a massage table fully clothed, shoes off. The practitioner uses very gentle touch and contact that is just right for the client in the present moment. Being met in this way can cause profound shifts in the clients felt sense of safety and security, allowing the body to soften and open.
After a session, most clients state a sense of deep relaxation, calm and presence. Tension can melt away, and emotions, big and small, often arise to been seen and released.
How long is a session?
Sessions are typically 60 minutes with time in the beginning to discuss your intention for the session (what you want to walk away with afterwards).
Introductory sessions include a 20 minute follow up call the next day to help integrate the session more fully.
How often should I receive BCST?
In the beginning it is helpful to experience sessions weekly or biweekly to keep the body attuned to the deep relaxation that is possible.
For chronic health problems, it may take more sessions to rewire your body to a new way of experiencing life’s challenges. We may work with one layer of tension for a few weeks until it softens and reveals another layer of story underneath. Noticing the subtle changes in your body is extremely helpful for long term health.
Testimonials
Susan was amazing! The Biodynamic Cranio Sacral Therapy I have experienced with her was beyond words. My body felt so listened to and taken care of that I had a few good cries during the therapy and afterwards. My body felt lighter and less stressed out for the first time in a long while. I highly recommend this therapy and Susan and Mother Trees to anyone who would like to have a deeper level of healing and stress release.

Although familiar with many types of body work/healing sessions, my recent cranial session with Susan left me feeling grounded and expanded. Susan is naturally – loving, caring and supportive with her words, guidance and touch. In my recent session with Susan, the energy of a dear – recently departed friend – made an appearance within my heart – adding to the guidance/healing I was receiving from Susan. Thank you Susan!! I am filled with gratitude for your healing touch and deep intuition. My peace and ease remains with me.

Susan is a genuine treasure. Her experience, skill, intuition, and deep gentle listening give me room to feel safely held, allowing my own body to relax and open to its next level of healing – physically, emotionally, spiritually.
I truly value my sessions with Susan. Although each time is unique in focus, I always feel my inner circuits are more open, flowing and coherent after we’ve completed. I leave feeling less pain, more easeful in my body and being, and enlivened inside and out!

Susan is a calming peaceful presence and I felt so relaxed after our session. I didn’t know what to expect going into it but it was so relaxing and grounding. As a new mom, having this dedicated space and time to focus on my mind and body was such a treat. I left feeling renewed.

My cranial sacral session with Susan helped me accept and welcome physical parts of me. I highly recommend this therapy for anyone who is looking to feel more grounded and welcomed by their body. As she worked on me, I got tightnesses in parts of my body, and she helped me tune into those areas so that they could tell me their story. I learned that I had rejected my physical body and hadn’t thought it was worthy of care and attention. She led me to appreciate and thank those signals, and I felt nurtured and held. My nervous system said “I’m safe now!” What an amazing gift she has to lead me through such uncharted territory!

Great CranioSacral Therapy session with Susan. She seems to really key into the emotional/physical connection and help you work through that. I felt totally relaxed and experienced clarity after the session.
